Cancellations
NC State resident students with a room assignment can cancel their housing agreement/assignment at any time, understanding that there are associated fees for cancelling. First-Year Students. The cancellation policy does not apply to first-year student housing assignments prior to the first day of class because of the First-Year Live-On Requirement.

Please note that the University Housing agreement is a full academic year agreement (fall and spring). Students who renew their housing for the fall to fulfill the second semester of the live-on requirement are then bound by the University Housing agreement for the following spring term, thus committing a student to a total of 3 semesters on campus (spring, fall, and the following spring).

The deadline to request transition housing is the close of business on Tuesday, April 23. Residents in transition housing must be prepared to move into their summer assignment and out of transition housing by 10 a.m. on May 13. Anything not removed from transition housing by 10 a.m. will be considered abandoned property and discarded.
