Installation - Windows- Download this repository.
- Download & install the latest version of Node.js
- Open CMD and enter this command: npm i fastify fastify-static fastify-formbody fastify-helmet fastify-no-cache underscore knex mysql2
- Download & install XAMPP
- Open XAMPP and run MySQL (Do not run Apache as the Node.js server runs on port 80)
- Import the database that you can find in /setup/experimental.sql by using a tool like MySQL Workbench
- Change the options in /setup/Config.json to comfort your MySQL settings
- Open CMD and CD to the folder where Run.js is located
- Enter the following command to start the server: node Run.js
- Browse to http://127.0.0.1/ or your VPS domain/ip if you're running this behind a webserver
Installation - Linux- Execute the following command: npm i fastify fastify-static fastify-formbody fastify-helmet fastify-no-cache underscore knex mysql2
- Download & install MySQL
- Run MySQL and execute the command: mysql -u username -p database_name < experimental.sql

I launched Experimental Penguins to the world in July 2000. I was surprised by the success, and have continued to create worlds ever since. Experimental Penguins (also referred to as Penguin Chat 1.0) was a game released on July 30, 2000, and closed in December 2000. It was Rsnail 's first attempt at developing a multiplayer game [3]. It was later followed by Penguin Chat 2 and Penguin Chat 3 and served as part of the basis for what would eventually become Club Penguin several years later.

It's with extracting all the assets from the .swf files, and turning them into sprite sheets for clothes & the penguin model, and asset files for the rooms and games.
The SWF files (games itself) for the Club Penguin predecessor, Penguin Chat 1 and 3 made by RocketSnail. These files were most likely released elsewhere, but I found them using the Wayback Machine and id like to release them out further aswell.
